Sydney's live music scene has had its challenges with venue closures, but there's still plenty happening. Newtown and Enmore are the traditional heartland. The Lansdowne, Enmore Theatre, and various pubs along King Street host regular gigs.

The Sydney Challenge: Getting There
Sydney's biggest obstacle is often transport. Trains stop running earlier than you'd like, and late-night options can be limited depending on where you live.
Tips: check last train times before you go out, consider staying closer to where you're headed, or budget for occasional rideshare costs. Opal card concession (with student ID) helps with costs.
